Biography
Habib M. Kammoun received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS), University of Sfax, Tunisia. He is Assistant Professor and currently the head of the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Sciences, University of Sfax. He is a member of the Research Groups in Intelligent Machines (REGIM) Laboratory, University of Sfax and a member of the Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs), USA. His research interests include soft computing, computational intelligence, intelligent transportation systems, and smart cities. He is a program committee member within several IEEE conferences and transactions.
Habib was the head of the Virtual Education UVT Department at the University of Sfax. Currently, he is coordinating some projects: Sfax Smart City Initiative at Governorate of Sfax, TECHLOG project (university of Sfax Activities) under the ENI CBCMED program, and Quality program PAQ – COVID at the university of Sfax.
Habib is the 2023-2024 IEEE Tunisia section chair and the 2023-2024 IEEE MGA Board member (Africa and Middle East zone representative). He was the past secretary of the IEEE Africa Council.
